Introduction
Our customer contacted us after removing lagging from their economiser outlet duct and finding significant damage.
Challenge
To remove existing duct work, manufacture new rolled sections and complete installation all inside 2 week outage window.
Solution
All ductwork was manufactured in-house allowing us to control speed & quality. Once designs were signed off, rolled sections were manufactured and delivered to site to enable continuous working.
CCNSG trained full-time PAYE site engineers installed to outage schedules, with all welding completed using coded MIG. Further to the duct work replacement damage was found at the Bag filter end of the ducting repairs were completed by our fabrication team within the outage window. Thickness checks completed using our equipment and data complied to report on areas requiring repair. Sizes then relayed to our workshop to shear plate from our steel stock and immediately deliver to site for a seamless install. All reporting & recommendations submitted on completion.
Result
Seamless project delivered on time requiring no extension to outage programme, and quality of the work giving the customer peace of mind of many years of integrity.
