About Us
Our History
For over 60 years and 3 generations, IME have kept British industry running. Initially marine engineers based in Silver Town, East London, the company diversified into petro chemical, power generation, waste and water industries. In recent years IME have become a market leader in providing engineering solutions to the energy from waste industry.
Starting in the mid 1970’s with maintenance and repair work at large incinerator power stations in London, this now extends to a number of facilities turning biomass/municipal waste/sewage into electricity, exported to the grid throughout the UK. The company has now relocated to 2 workshops in East London / Essex, perfectly located to support our client base. IME seeks to support the growing demand of Industry, providing innovative maintenance engineering solutions.
Across 2 sites our 6 specialist divisions control both the quality and speed of our response. We do not use subcontractors, our dedicated full-time PAYE workforce travel the UK 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

This is the boss Will Rockett
Will is the 3rd generation of Rocketts to run iME, we truly are a family business
The Management Team
This is the back bone of the company, from accounts to project managers, they keep the flow of work moving (Well Esther does ;)
Engineering Manager
Meet Billy, born with a silver spanner in his mouth, being raised on the tools makes him perfect for overseeing the divisions.
The Valve Team.
This specialist team headed up by Chris, takes care of all of the valve servicing projects from our dedicated facility
The Grab Refurbishment Team.
Our dedicated team headed up by Ben manages the complete refurbishment of ash and waste grabs
The Fabrication Team
If you need it made, this is the team to do it, headed up by chief engineer Frank there is not much this team can’t make.
The Machining Team
Headed up by Sean, the fastest turner in Essex, this team are all about accuracy and pin point precision
The Pipework Team
This specialist team is headed up by Ben and as you can imagine they get to see and experience pipework on grand scales.
iME Supply
iME supply is a one woman division, but boy does she find you what you need, meet Esther the supply division.
Head of Transport
This is Buff, well his real name is a closely guarded secret, but you can see why he’s called Buff? Right. This is the beating heart of the transport department.
